Just picked up my aspire one, love the thing. First thing I want to do is reformat this puppy so I can put xp pro and ubuntu on it.

I noticed that no restore CD's came on this thing. Does acer let you download them or order them? Or should I create an ghost image just in case I want to revert back.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Zach

I assume you have the WIndows XP home and 120 GB hard drive? I too want to do this, maybe partition the drive first, give half to XP and half to Ubuntu. Don't know if it's worth having XP pro though...

Yeah the 120gb drive, Just picked it up from bb.

I dont really need xp pro, I just want to format this sucker and get ride of all the crappy acer junk they installed.

I see where there is a restore dvd uploaded by someone for the linux version, nothing for us? I dont mind doing it I just dont feel like wasting time if there is already something out there.
