AX1430G-UW30P Internet connect

I just bought an Aver AX1430G-UW30P. My old HP connects to my router via a Belkins device plugged into a USB port. My Acer laptop connects without the device but has a button that will disconnect the internet. Before I unwrap my new computer I would like to know it it will need to connect via a device like I have on the HP or will it connect like the laptop. Or will it connect some other way? The few instructions says very little. As you can tell I am not that computer savvy. Thanks to anyone that can advise.
