    Hey,

Mediafire seems to be down. Any chance you can post it as an attachment here?

    Hey BetaHal,

Thanks for the link. Mediafire was back up this am, and I installed successfully. The mic is there, and sound works, but the mic is nothing but fuzz, with a little bit of noise in the bg. (Both in ichat and Skype) I'm still happy to be away from voodoohda, but it's not 100% for me. Have you actually placed a skype call etc?

    Hi mlazy,

Well, I recorded some sound in WireTap Studio without problems and, yes, I placed a test Skype call and my voice came back to me loud and clear. Look for duplicate audio kexts (you DID delete VoodooHda, right?), repair permissions, try to think in anything else that may be different in our system configuration or else try to contact Memfys, the original poster. For my D150 I used the iAtkos 10.5.7 OSX disk choosing the Voodoo 9.5 Kernel during the install.

    Good luck! :D

    Thanks BetaHal,

I'm actually doing a vanilla install right now on a flash drive to test. My current system is 10.5.8 w/voodoo 9.6 kernel. But, I have played with a bunch of audio drivers, so who knows. I killed off applehda.kext, hdaenabler.kext, and voodoohda.kext before installing the new kext, then rebooted with -f as well. Right now, I get 2 "pops" as it boots, then full sound, and the mic looks like it's grabbing sounds from the room, but doesn't work in ichat or skype. we'll see how the vanilla install works with it. Thanks for the reply!

    Hey again,

i tried a "clean" install on a flash drive. Booted, installed just your kext and voodoops2 so I could get the keyboard/mouse up. Then, repaired permissions and rebooted. I still get sound, and a "hissy" mic, meaning it's there, but the sound is all screwed up. If I yell, I can hear changes in the hiss, but that's it. Could you do me a favor and run an lspci on your machine with OSX86Tools? I'd like to compare ours. Here's mine:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but apart from our wifi cards, everything else seems to be pretty much the same. It must be a software thing, then...

    Thanks BetaHal,

We are identical except for the wireless device model. I'm at a total loss. Tell me again, you are iatkos 10.5.8? any other custom kexts at all (like iopcifamiliy from slice or anything like that?)

I'm running iATKOS 10.5.7. Maybe that's our difference.

What's your bootloader? Chameleon, PCEFIv whatever?

I'm getting iatkos this evening to replicate your rig. :)

I'm using Chameleon-2.0. You can choose that as an option while installing iAtkos.
