Atheros is making ATH5K & ATH9K drivers open source, see:

    http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/02/athe ... ifi-party/

What Atheros chipset is in the Aspire One? I think its the ATH5K. In the future I would like to toy with OSX on the One, but really don't want to replace the wireless NIC because of drivers. If, as the article says, that the open source spec will allow for third party driver creation, then is seems possible someone may be able to create a driver for OSX and the built-in Atheros wifi card.

    Any thoughts?
