Asus VivoBook slow running solved

    My Asus Vivobook was taking 10 mins + to boot and several minutes to load programs etc.making it virtually unusable.
    Numerous resets, diagnostics etc. didn't work and I was about to cut my losses and sell it for parts.
    I did some research and tried one more thing....Eureka!
    The laptop came with McAfee preinstalled and it was clashing with my own Norton software. I completely removed the McAfee and now have a speedy, fully working laptop. The best option is to use the McAfee Removal Tool (Google has the tool and info). Don't rely on the windows uninstall, you have to remove every trace of McAfee.
