Asus Vivobook M513ia adding harddisk/ssd problem

Anyone one out there have a Asus Vivobook m513ia? I have fell foul of watching a youtube video showing the said laptop being upgraded with ram and a second SSD, so I bought one with the intention of adding 8GB ram and another ssd (the primary is an 512GB M.2 MVMe Pcie card) no problem with the ram main 8GB is soldered on but there is a sodimm slot for upto an additional 24GB. The problem is the 2.5inch drive bay is there but the small connector isn't. Do they have different specs within the M513ia model?
