Revolt is working perfect with max setting on the aao 512 Mb ssd version.
It's an abandonware, so you can get it seaching "abandonware revolt" in google (first result)
Pretty cool game about toy car kind like mario kart (weapons, triks, ...), great graphics.

Spore. This game just released and it runs on the Aspire One. Amazing? Hell yeah!
I've played up to the civilization stage, the game runs smooth so far with the settings turned low for everything; that doesn't mean everything will look ugly. In fact, the settings low/high don't make THAT much of a visual difference, try it out if you can get your hands on this game.

command and conquer 3 runs on AAO (1gb/120HDD vista home premium) but it crashed after i built my refinery, so im going to update the game and see if u can get better results

im also wondering if anyone has figured out a way to run CS/CSS on this little beauty as that would be sweet

spore confirmed running well at 1024x600 on all low settings. Very choppy on high settings at same resolution. Runs ok at same resolution.
    tested on cell stage only!

NOLF2 runs well on my out-of-the-box XP Aspire One. Copied the CD's onto a USB drive, installed without issue, and used a no-cd .exe.

All of the games below were on a AAO 1GB/160GB/XP/6Cell

    From Steam:
    Quake 2 - no issues.
Quake 3 Arena and Quake 3 Team Arena - very nice 800x600 I think.
Audiosurf - not responsive enough for that type of game at lowest settings.
Older iD games worked fine (Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, etc).
Return To Castle Wolfenstein - works great

    Non Steam:
Red Alert 1 (free ISO released by EA not too long ago). Having audio dropout issues, making it unplayable. :(
Starcraft & Brood Wars - dunno what res but doesn't look stretched. With new 1.15.2 patch you don't need the CD anymore so I installed on different computer, did change as per instructions in patch to remove need for CD and copied files to AAO.
Exported related registry keys to a .reg file and ran them on the AAO.
Red Alert 2 - Running fine after some tweaking. ;)
Day of the Tentacle & original Sam & Max - seem to run fine. Don't ask me where I got those. :)
    Warsow - runs awesome

    Games I tried but failed:
    - Civ 4 demo
    - Battlefield Vietnam - worked, but too choppy at lowest settings. Didn't try 1942 cause I figured it would be the same problem.

Currently doing a backup of my partition using Macrium Reflect free.

    Operation Silent Storm
    Operation Silent Storm: Sentinels

Both games run ok in middle settings mode (AAO, 1 GB, 120 Gb, XP)

Eve online (classic client) runs smooth in stations, little bit laggy in space (1 gb mem). But with all the server side lag you wouldn't notice it anyway.

On a sidenote, I'd really like to have silent hunter 3 running, anyone succeeded in getting past the "can not initialize 3d engine" error?

Just tried CS 1.6 w/ a constant 40fps stock intel drivers. I have the AAO 120GB version w/ 1,5GB installed.

just got my aspire one today, and afther setting up all my needed software i decided to give some games a go
I'm currently in the upcomming battlefield heroes beta test so i decided to test it out

I was able to run it at 1024*600 and low graphics, loading a level took some time, but quite allright, still really reasonable ^^
the game itself ran ok, I don't know how to view the framerate in that game so I have no idea yet, it jerks at times, but overall really smooth gameplay.
I was running some other processes in the background so those used up some resources.
I ran it at an AAO 150 120gb HDD and 1GB RAM running XP SP3

The game should be released in 2009 (atleast I think so, don't think they'll make 2008) and is free to play

I didn't find bf heroes possible too play on the AAO, the framerate was way to low for me. :(

I don't think the framerate is optimal, but bf heroes is quite slow gameplay so it doesn't really bother
and it looks smooth, so no problem there

I just tested counter strike and team fortress classic and I honestly don't see why people say it's running slow for them
It runs at 800x600 at average 30fps, sometime drops to around 24 but is mostly shifting between 30 and 40 somtimes peaking around 60, and these are servers with 32 people playing
What I did notice was that my initial install had the game set to openGL, make sure you set this to D3D

overall pleased with the aao, gonna see what else I can get to run on this

    i got
Resident Evil 4 (with low FPS 15-30)
    Stronghold Crusader
    and
    Daemonica ( a nice little RPG )
    running.
For Daemonica you have to first edit the screenresolution in the cfg file (Videomode=6 i think).

    Aspire One 512Mb RAM

I've tried Operation Flashpoint & it's addon Resistence and they both run OK, very playable at medium graphics.
Also Darwinia is about 14FPS so still playable at a push.
SWAT 4 Playable not sure of the FPS

Tried Doom 3 no go as the card doesn't seem to support hardware T&L.
Will try HL2 and force DX 8 on it.

    A150 (1GB RAM - 120GB HD), Windows XP SP3

Half-Life (and Opposig Force, Blue Shift, TFC, Counter Strike, etc.) v1.1.1.1
1998 version works perfect (+60fps) but the new Steam version has a different engine and it cannot be played (0.5fps).

    Black & White 1.2
    Works perfectly with high settings

    GTA III
Works perfectly with medium settings at 1024x600

    Outcast
Works perfectly with high settings (as it should since the engine only uses CPU)

    Sin 1.11
    Works perfectly with high settings

    Alien vs. Predator 2
    Works perfectly

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 1.01
    Works perfectly with high settings

SW: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords (aka KOTOR2) 1.0b
Crash due to a compatibility problem with intel "graphics card". If anyone knows how to run it please tell me.
This solution didn't work for me: http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showtopic=46850

    Ghost Recon (1) 1.4
Works very well with highest settings at 1024x600 (~20fps with lots of grass and trees)

    Gothic (1) 1.08k (+playerkit)
Works perfectly at high settings at 1024x600
