    Hello,
I have a strange problem with my acer aspire one d255.
In a few words, i can't reboot my netbook because everytime i reboot windows i get a black screen with only the power light on and no other.
If instead of reboot I shutdown windows and then I turn on again my d255 i have no problem to boot again in windows.
I already have updated the bios with the latest versn available that is the 3.16 but the problem still exist.
The onky thing that i have done is upgrade the ram from 1gb to 2gb.
The only strange thing that i have noted is that in cpu-z in the ram tab I see the ram like DDR2 while in the spd tab I see the ram bank as DDR3.
Do you know what can be the cause of this problem?
My netbook apart this thing, is working perfectly.
    Thanks

Have a look at this forum post for ideas

Also try removing the new ram and working the netbook for a week or so if the problem does not return
then you know it's the new ram causing the problem.

Not all ram chips are compatible with the acer brands
