    I have been a computer tech for years, use linux and am generally good at computing.

    I always install a dual boot with windows XP and Fedora core. these days it involves getting rid of s*****y vista and "simple" windows 7. it's always a battle to find drivers, normally I win.

    But this laptop is impossible! the audio card driver is just not findable as an XP version!

    it seems to be due to it being combined with the APU (CPU+GPU). it's a C-60 with radeon 6290. but the xp versions of those (and simular) don't seem to have the audio driver!

    the audio driver is:
    VEN=1002 (which is ATI now AMD)
    DEV=1314

    there is another audio device (which I am sure is the hdmi output) so I don't need the driver:
    VEN=1002 (ati now amd)
    DEV=4383

    I need help. :confused:
