I have the Aspire 7540 with HDMI and VGA connections, my Sharp Aquos Flat screen has Scart, S-Video and RGB sockets. I have Windows 7. Can anyone tell me what I will need so that I can watch my films, that are on the laptop Harddrive, on my TV instead?
    Thanks in Advance :)

Look around in electronics shops like Tandy, Dick Smiths, Radioshack etc, you might be lucky to find a VGA-SCART/RGB/S-Video connector. Last time I bought one they werent too expensive.

Just a note, the pins inside a VGA connector are RGB, with an "earth" for each. You could probably even make an adapter after googling a bit. I did once, I wasn't going to pay the outrageous price for a VGA cable for my xBox 360 at the time so I googled and found the pin diagrams to make a VGA cable for it.
