Are you getting the best online shopping deals?

I was looking at a tv program today that raised some disturbing points of view.

Someone has found that using a different browser ( not the search engine ) can alter the offered price of an item.

The example given was on buying a online holiday, the person tried searching with one browser
,and then doing the same search on the same holiday site, using a different browser.

The prices were approx 20% in difference.

It seems that some sites are profiling you on which browser you use.

I was not aware about this issue. However, I think this can happen. That's why these days people are talking about net neutrality.

Woah.... do you think this can apply to big sites like Amazon and Ebay? If that is the case then there is a big chance I've been ripped off several times already. Oh well...

The article was shown on 01 FEB 2016 on UK TV Channel 4 the program was called Supershoppers.
the program is available as a catch up program.

The program listed a very well known internet only travel site making a pricing difference, I doubt that many sites will be using this varied pricing tactic.

    You just never know
