Not 100% on the wifi module. Broadcom is the only driver windows 7 pro will accept from the ones listed on Acer's site. The device will see wireless routers, picks up my neighbors(have the password) but, will not connect to either mine or his. Everything worked fine till changeing the OS to W7pro verses W7 starter. If this is in the wrong area please move it.

    Try this:
    * Turn off the wireless connection
    * Hold the Windows key and press R on the keyboard to bring up the Run box
    * Type SERVICES.MSC in the box and press enter
    * locate the WLAN AutoConfig service, right click on it and choose Stop
    * close the service manager and open My Computer
    * Goto the C drive, then locate the Program Data folder (you'll have to enable viewing of hidden files and folders)
    * Open the Program Data folder, open the Microsoft folder, locate and delete the WLANSVC folder
    * Reboot your computer and recreate the connection to your wireless routers and see if that fixes the problem
