I have upgraded my system with a 1gb ram PC2-5300(DDR2 667) by buffalo and it works great. I decided to take some pics to show to everyone this US model. I will also try later another kind of ram, the one I pulled out of my iMac which is a 1gb ram PC2-6400(DD2 800).

Let me know if there is anyside or part of the hardware that you guys want to see and I will try to take pictures of them.

cheers for the pics, no RAM slot on the back?
Can you measure the thickness of the HDD, and what brand and model number is it?
    Thanks

The hard drive is a regular 2.5" sata made by Hitachi(i think, I never really touched that part because I wasnt planning to upgrading the drive yet.

No easy access for RAM at the back, you have to dismantle the whole netbook.

I believe there is but because the ram that I pulled out is only 512mb.. I was trying to figure out which of the chips inside it is but just didnt spend time on it. I was too excited about running the system back again.

Can you be more specific about that "buldge" part you are asking me to take a pic, if you are wondering what is the size then it is a regular 2.5 Sata drive, now common to most laptops.

Oh so do you have 1.5gb now showing in the bios/startup?

Any pictures showing the changes because of the hard drive would be excellent. Mainly I guess the sides and underneath.

    Is it still quite light?

windows xp shows it as 1.48gb because its using 8mb for video card..
but in the bios its showing as 1536mb...

it is still light... and now much faster too...

I will try to see when I will upgrade the Hard Drive, i am still debating with myself if I should try to put the other ram that I have..

Can you confirm the depth of the case? Is it 170 or 195mm?
