Any chance for ANDROID on AAO

    Any chance for ANDROID on AAO ??
    Android is my fave LINUX based operating system...
    So please any port or ANY chance to run it on AAO ??? :cry: :cry: :(

    Don't see why not. It has been ported to an Eee. Someone just needs to take the initiative to start the project.

    why put a distro designed for mobile phones on a netbook? there are much better choices, though if it takes android to get you away from xp and 7 then go for it :)

    Android runs fine natively on it, I tested it out in december when the eee701 target first came out. It also runs virtualized fine if you just want to mess with it. There's not much point though as it really is designed for phone usage right now and there is a serious lack of apps to do PC related things. Incase you didn't know, android just uses the linux kernel, the OS doesn't have anything to do with it at all and shields you from accessing the underlying kernel even.
