    Hi,
I'm looking to buy a AAO. I've done my reading and everything but am torn between the SSD version and the 1gb RAM HDD linpus version. I would probably like to run linpus, XP and BT3 if I had the HDD or I'd use XP on the SSD and BT3 on a USB stick. How does XP performance compare between the two, how do dimensions compare and how does battery life compare. I have used the search button but results vary greatly between posters.
    Any answers greatly apreciated
    Ben

I don't think you'll find many who'll say that XP on the SSD version is a good idea, even after all the "speed up" tweaks.

Sounds like you are trying to cram ten pounds into a five pound bag!

In my opinion, decide what you are going to use the device for, and pick the best options for that job. It will never be an all-purpose all-around computer to replace the big-iron on your desk, nor is it meant to be. It's a specialist. Good luck!......Jake

Well, I think I might get the 120gb 1GB ram linpus version, but how would the 16gb SSD XP version fare? As I might get one of those ebcause of the 6 cell. If I got the linpus 120GB I'd use BT3, Linpus and XP.
And this is intended to be a second laptop with my big laptop for the major stuff.
So would the SSD or HDD version be better? I would like the 6 cell battery but could always buy the HUGE "9 Cell" battery for it.
