Hi Everyone, I wonder if I can pick your collective brains please?
I have been checking out different laptop brands to see what is
out there sadly I failed last week to find any Laptop Mags at my
local WH Smiths Boy has it gone down hill.
I am looking for a all Round Laptop That can do what I throw at it
including some Steam Games maybe, I want to spend around £1,000
and I’m looking for a i7 8th Gen if possible with a decent Graphics Card and
    about a 1 TB Drive.
I have checked Asus, Dell, Acer etc but it seems most PC Laptops with
a 1TB Drive are All Gaming ones and that is not what I want.
Can anyone recommend brands and models I can stretch to a bit extra.
The other thing I find puzzling is that the Higher end models by Especially
Asus have small SSD drives why when a Laptop costs say £1400
not have a larger modern drive?
I’ve seen on the Crucial site a SSD Drive On is saying it cost £129:59p
for a 1TB Drive, if they are so cheap why do Expensive Laptop companies
Scrimp on to me a important part of a Laptop?
Thank you for reading this far (If you have) I hope for some feedback.

    Cheers,
    Andrew.

Do you need the whole 1TB to be an SSD, or would you be happy with a small SSD as an OS drive and then 1TB of slower storage space?

£1000 is a very decent budget, so you should have no problems getting what you are after.

What are your thoughts regarding screen size/portability? Do you want a large screen, or something lighter/more portable?

Something like this may be suitable:

It is a "gaming" laptop, but many with half decent graphics cards will be marketed as such.

Thank you So much for your reply, that Dell looks On But I do not want the typical Brash branding Gaming Laptops have like On that Dell Red Dell And Red Keys, Yuk.
I’m not a Teen or 30 year old Mate, not that that is a bad thing.
I don’t really need to it to be as light or small as one of those superb looking Asus ultra books
Although I would love a Zenbook.
What do you think of this model Dell Vostro Notebook 7580?
It looks as if this particular model is only available from Dell itself ?

The Dell Vostro Notebook 7580 does look nice and avoids the gaming branding. In fact, it pretty much meets your demands entirely and even comes with SSD + HDD combos for under £1000 :).
