    hi there, aoa110 with 8gb ssd & 1gb ram

first installed wxp pro with sp3 as fat32, so far so good

after converted to ntfs, after bootup the green disk led amost always on without flashing, i'm not sure what it is doing, i managed to load task manager but didn't find anything strange there

wondering if anyone got the same issue? any suggestion?

    many thx!

p.s. forgot to mention, already turned off d2d before install wxp

    Is the index-service running?

no, indexing service was removed during slipstreaming sp3

i noticed that hard disk property ticked the box "enable write caching on the disk", should i un-tick this option? many thx!

NTFS does write a timestamp to accessed files - that means write access on each read access which makes the SSD slow. Try disabling the timestamp writes:

    Command line:

    FSUTIL behavior set disablelastaccess 1

thx remosh, after the fsutil command it seems a little bit better, however i would like to describe the symptom again, it took about 1 min to boot into xp desktop (as tweaked to auto login), after all system tray icons loaded, the harddisk led will keep constant on (i repeat, constant on without flashing) for about another 1 min, during this freezing period, basically i can move the mouse around but it didn't response to any click at all

wondering if anyone else the same? can i simply conclude this is the ssd driver issue? if so can we "borrow" other (e.g. eeepc) ssd driver to put on aao?

btw, my ssd disk is pssd1800, many thx!
