I initially used the alternative install ISO to do full drive encryption. The performance sucked, and the installer didn't like the AA1's lack of a CD drive. So today I spent today installing the netbook remix and doing LUKS encryption on /home. Its a fairly simple howto, somewhat long. It should work for any edition, and any relatively recent version of Ubuntu.

It is written for a fresh install, but would probably work with some tweaks.

Later when I have more time, I will do one up for SWAP encryption.

If you got any questions, or anything ask. I am going to toss ubuntu into virtualbox on my workstation. I am going to play around doing it on an install that already has a bunch of data.
