    Hi,

I've got a Aspire One which started life as a Linux box, but I've decided to put Windows on it because I couldn't get Linux to play happy with my printer. Anyway...

After installing Windows and the Windows drivers I have a working machine, but I can't get the screen brightness to work correctly. I can dim the screen by pressing the Fn key and the right-arrow key, but only by one notch. On some Windows machines I've seen an onscreen option to adjust brightness, but nothing here.

Does the Aspire only have a single 'dim' setting, or should I be able to dim the screen all the way to 'off'? Or am I missing some driver?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Mike.

update the bios to 3309 and see if that gives you more options to dim the screen.
