add/remove program having problems

    Hello,

    I'm trying to install the development tools. as soon as the comp says accept import key. i enter yes and then the program freezes. Anyone know how to fix this. Acer tech support is useless !!!!!!!!!

    what dev tools are you installing?

    I installed the c++, python etc packages with no problems as well as eclipse via add/remove software.

    I installed a script that i found on the aspire one user forums to speed up my system, now i'm getting a bug error when opening add/remove and it's asking if i want to debug, which i say yes and it's not fixing the problem. I think i have to do a recovery.
