    I have seen so much about these two hidden usb ports. Well the conections on the mobo so would it e possible to mod the case and add two usb jacks then wire them to the connecters on the mobo? My mom wont letme hack my netbook :cry: but when the wranty ends she might let me hack it :twisted: so would it be possible to add those ports so its five usb ports?

    Where on the exterior of the case would you see enough space for one more USB port?

    A this point in time we only know of one unused USB port on the motherboard labeled "CN11", although there should be one more port yet to be discovered.

    There's room under the touchpad and the speaker grill area. They're unoccupid by anything. You can also make room. E.g. Take out the kingsington lock slot to make room for a usb port.
    Other than that, there's no more room on the side of the laptop.

    If you want more room on the for usb on the laptop without destroying things, there's room on the bottom between the motherboard and the daughter board.

    Yes, you can add one port from CN11 or three ports if you use the USB lines from both the WiFi and 3G ports. Physically adding ports to the front grill should be pretty straight forward, not a problem.

    Hidden sub nd? I can not understand you.

    WiFi port has both PCI-E bus connections and USB connections. The USB connections are unused by most WiFi cards, because they are using the PCI-E bus connections only.

    3G pad is missing the mini PCI-e connector, after you install the connector the port only has USB lines and not PCI-E bus connections. So the 3G port can not be used for cards that require the PCI-e bus, like WiFi and Video decoder.

    Summary of available Mini PCI-e cards and their bus;
    PCI-E bus = WiFi, Broadcom Video Decoder.
    USB = TV Tuner, Wimax, 3G, (Intel 5350 WiFi and WiMax card uses both USB and PCI-e).

    Actually you can have five of them - two inside and three in every extra USB port you planning to add... I've got funny feeling we going to read another post from you in the next couple of days/weeks, something like that:
