Acerhdf(fancontrol) included by default in 2.6.31 kernel! :D

    http://kernelnewbies.org/LinuxChanges - Latest kernel was released today.

    This means when you use the new kernel, you don't have to do anything to get fancontrol. It's already there. Of course the issue is when is kernel is making it to your favourite distro ;) Otherwise you just do it as you have been doing now...

    Not much to say really. Several others performance improvements as well.
