Acer Timeline: Upgrade CPU?

    My timeline has a SU2700 1.3ghz single core cpu and while the thing is good for the most part there is a thing or two I would like to use it for that requires a little more HP.

    I see the socket p dual cores could be the T8300 cpu or the p8400 can anybody point me in the right direction to see if it will work before I make the purchase?

    Sorry, but all CULV are soldered, so no upgrading.

    well, you CAN upgrade but it's a very expensive job. here in brazil it costs about U$180 or something like that
    but the thing is: CAN BE DONE!

    we all say directly "can't" because it envolves soldering and desoldering the cpu from the motherboard etc...

    by the way, did you check this? http://processorfinder.intel.com/detail ... Spec=SLGFN
    it's a c2d and only 10W of power dissipation...
    i think that's the best replacement for the timelines...
