Hello I have the inspire 5742 from Acer. Ita a I3 processor.

Still under warranty I had it looked at for possible overheating.

    It shul down on multitasking.

They 1st cleaned all the vents... Problem still there
They now replaced the mother board... Problem still there.

This was an approved repair shop that does the work.

So I have the lap top and I test it with Prime 95. It runs for like 15 minutes and shuts down.

    AND

Without Prime 95 running I tried a program called RealTemp GT to checks temps when I attempt the censor calibration It LOOKS for prime 95 and shuts off.

Any other ideas How to see what the heck it causing it shut off?

It is Windows 7 Home Premium.
    .

If Windows has documented the problem, it should be listed in "Performance Information and Tools". Yo can launch this from the lower side of the navigation pane (to the left) on the system properties, screen.
