Hello - I have the Extensa 5620Z laptop, when I power up it goes straight to bios and a sound like a key being held down is heard plus it won't allow me to reset defaults etc.

I think it's a dead key or possibly one that won't return upwards - how can I remove the keyboard so that I can unplug it and confirm my diagnosis or replace it?

    Any help appreciated.

Typically if there's a dead / stuck key, just press each key individually, one by one until you find the key that's causing the problem. Once found it should unstick. If your computer is entering the BIOS automatically, chances are the faulty key is either F2 or F10.
