acer aspire wont boot error message

    I have an acer aspire 5742z It does not want to boot up . I put in the win 7 repair disk and long story short I get this error message ." Restore failed (wimapply image cannot apply image : data error ( cyclic redundancy check .) .) What does this mean ? Someone please help .
