ACER ASPIRE SHUTS DOWN AFETR ABOUT ONE MINUTE

    Having been on several forums it seems to be the fan not coming on which would explain why it shuts down, it also shuts down if i wait it out in bios so its not a windows issue (XP) MY BIOS IS V3301 some suggest to flash the bios to a later version however i don't want to try this as it doesn't stay on long enough. So its in the local repair shop, my warrenty is voided as i upgraded the memory when first purchased so was looking for like minded people who have had this fault and got it sorted, the taking battery out and pressing power button didn't work for me

    It happened before 2 days and become even worst.
    I need to RMA it by monday..Thankfully i have warranty

    Alot of people have their problems with acer which i assume as a brand SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lol:

    Six month old aspire one.... :lol:

    Is your fan working ok? If it isn't the AAO will turn off when it overheats.
