acer aspire power issue

    I have an Acer aspire one 722-0473 which had a damaged display. It would power up and only show half of display. I installed a new display and now it powers up for about 3 to 5 seconds and powers down. Same issue with new and old display.

    Hi Jay, welcome to the forums :)

    Do you get anything appearing on the screen (or any beeps) when you boot up? It could be that something was damaged or knocked when the screen was replaced.

    The old display had a crack down the middle with a black display on left and desktopon right. I replaced with new display and then got the new problem of pressing the power button, it lights up, I hear the hdd start up and 3 to 5 secs later it shuts down. No beeps. No display.
