Acer Aspire One with Windows XP

I looking for the Blue Acer Aspire One with XP installed in US but haven't found it in Best Buy, Circuit City, or CDW. Did this one already came out or it is coming in August. I read that the Acer Aspire One is available in US article on this website but haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know it is available?

As far as I can tell, you can only pre-order the XP models as of now. Me, I'm perfectly happy with my Linux model that arrived today.

It says that that one isn't available :cry: otherwise I'd already be done ordering it
I would be happy with Linux, but I'd prefer the 120GB HDD. And a double boot could still come in handy. I couldn't find it on any sites either though. Does anyone know if we still have to wait until August for it?

well in Germany the Aspire Ones with HDD and/or Windows XP will come out at the end of july / early august...so it will certainly take some more time until these are available everywhere

why does it say onboard storage 512mb shouldnt it be 1gb

The 512MB onboard storage is what's soldered to the mainboard. The other 512MB is in the soDIMM slot, making for a total of 1GB.

try cdw you can order it it says add too cart i just checked

It says add to cart, but under availability it says to call. I called there before, and they said they weren't expecting it in until late August, so it wouldn't ship until they get it in late August (or if they get it early).

August 15th? That's good to know - when I called it was just "late August". And maybe it'll come earlier than expected, as the One has come earlier than expected to some places before

I still may wait a little longer before pre-ordering, since I'm leaving August 23rd so that's cutting it a little close.

Yea i called because i wanted to know was it preordered or was it avalible it took the guy couple trys to find it when he typed the name he put the number one istead of the word so he finally gets it and looks it up finally so he said aug 15 so guess we gotta wait and see
