I found this on the web and used it successfully to restore Windows Home Edition, with all Drivers installed.......... You will need a valid Product Key to Validate...... worked great for me, thought i'd put it here, and share it

Thanks for posting this, I downloaded it and restored my system .. I messed it up pretty good and couldn't get the e-recovery to come up even though the partition is still there.

Anyway all is well again and my system is working !

    Thanks Again

    Craig

BTW I just used my product code from the sticker on the bottom !

Is this a copy of the actual restore discs, with all the bloatware, or is a slipstreamed XP+One drivers?

    Acer FTP Site is:
    Code:
    http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/ftp/ftp.html
I used an External DVDRom to "Boot off the CD" If you use my files above, you'll need Winrar to uncompact and join them, creating an .iso, then burn to CD with Nero (or similar)..... there is a way todo it off Flash Drive, but i didn't go that way...... hope this cleared a little confusion up :D

No. Once the recovery partition is gone, it is gone. The only way to restore it would be to send it back to Acer. And they won't do it for free...

    Thanks for the reply.

My recovery partition does not work anymore... in windows or by pressing Alt F10 at boot up... So it's useless then, might as well delete it huh?

Rapidshare has a free option, you just have to be patient and download each link. A day is more than enough to get the pieces and you just have to burn on a CDR disc.

Hi all, new to the forums with a new Aspire One netbook...I was shocked, to say the least, that it didn't come with recovery cd's! Never occurred to me to even look for that, those I would have thought would be automatic

So I went on a net hunt and came up with this site :) And found your downloads without the bloatware added..BONUS!(I'd really prefer to add my own browser, don't use computer based email, don't like "tool bar additions" and I have my own virus program...)

Having a problem though :/ I downloaded winRar to try to unpack and get ready to burn to cd...here's where my lack of experience with such things comes in play -- I'm not sure how to "join them and create an ISO disk" and I'm not seeing how to do it in winRar. In addition, the files all seem to be identical once unzipped... they unzip to a file called aceroneslipstreamed.iso So I'm not sure if something went wrong in the download? I checked and all 7 .rar files I downloaded have the appropriate part1.....part7 in the filename. When seeing them in winRar they *seem* to be identical -- identical filenames and sizes.

So my questions are -- did I get the right files? and also, how do I "join" them so I can burn them to cd and use to reformat/restore my netbook -- without the bloatware?

    Thanks for any help :)

You can now burn that .ISO file using Nero for example and that should be a bootable disc already. Install it and key-in your COA license when asked.

This is a great .iso , TY

Restore the AAO via the imbedded reinstall and make a Disk image with Acronis or Nortons or whatever you favorite back-up is.

I'm still seeding the torrent, but if a few others could download and seed it would help a lot.
There is only one other person seeding it, if say 10 people seeded it might not take a week to download :)
