Acer Aspire One D250-1026 Flickering, Black Screen

    I am using Intrepid and experiencing an intermittent screen flickering followed by ultimately the screen going black (but the machine is still running). There is no recovery from this other than to reboot. I have Bios version 1.03 installed (factory).

    What's the fix?

    I have the same issue. Never experienced it before my resent update of the system (Debian-sarge).
    It happens to me while using mplayer (watching movies).

    Sleep mode / or if its called hibernation, and the wake it again, helps.

    And now, One more follow up (for the day), from me.

    There are no problem using the newest kernel image 2.6.30 (-1-686 something). While using it there are NO blackscreens.
