I am in the process of buying an Acer Aspire One AO532h-2588 - and was wondering if it recognized the SDHC cards. I have read information that it will take the standard cards, but I need to know if it will also read the SDHC cards. Thanks in advance for all the help you will give me. :)

Even the older models will read 8Gb class 6 cards, and also microSD cards in both usb and SD carriers.

Actually, it really depends on the OS. I have not been able to get it working on Linux yet (Ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10 - 2.6.33-2.6.35 kernels). I will be looking into this more next week.

I would't jump the gun there to say "All" models support SDHC. There was a fella on here the other day that complained of the system freezing and their SDHC cards becoming hot to the touch.

Turns out the particular slot they were using didn't support SDHC, luckily there was another slot on the machine that did.

According to spanishclass the 532h supports 8Gb SDHC's so I'll add this to the Wiki.

I have a brand new AO532h-2588 that I just purchased today for my daughter.

I plugged in an 8gb SDHC card into it (actually a micro in an adapter) and it works fine. Takes a minute to find and update the driver, but otherwise, fine.
