I was wondering if anyone is using another webcam instead of the one built in and if it works well with Skype or not? Also how does the builtin webcam work?

If you're using an external USB webcam what type are you using?

I am using the internal one with Windows XP and (mainly) Skype.
Works as intended, not better nor worse. Limited resolution, but its more than enough for video calling, with the advantage of being integrated in the AAO.
Nothing to write home about, but usable.

i am using the one built in, its perfect, it even shows average good image in the dark with the light from the screen, it;s a lot better than most phones out there and couple of web cams that i have bought in the past, i used it everyday almost, it doesn't look bad, but like the other person said, nothing to write about.

I've used other web cams on it too, and they work fine also, but i mean the one built in does the work.

    I wouldnt.

plus the resolution is stated as 'up to 1.3Mpixels' .. which generally means taking still pictures.
i dont see any big advantage over the internal one tbh..
