My Acer Aspire One 722 has been running slow ever since I bought it, about a month ago. I have tried running virus scans and spyware scans. I contacted Acer support, who told me to do system recovery (Alt + F10) but that didnt work either. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my computer and how to fix it?

What do you mean slow, what do you compare with to say it is slow. Tell us more information and will be able to resolve your problem quickly.

When i type a word, it weights a couple of seconds until it types it out. Also the playback is a couple of seconds slow on microsoft silverlight and youtube stalls.

Just a thought. Have you installed all updates for the operating system?

I posted on here about a problem I had with the touchpad using 50% of the CPU and making my machine slow. You could check that.

I'm currently testing a driver from Elantech to see if there is any improvement.

I suggest backing everything up (Pics, Music, Documents, etc.) and re-do your OS (With Windows 7 Ultimate I suggest)

Try installing Process Explorer and look to see which programs/services are using most of the CPU.

You can just unzip it to a folder on the desktop, or otherwise create a folder in Program Files and unzip it there.

If you don't have a specialized program to do this you can use WinRAR which you can download for free.
