I've got my Acer Aspire One 722-C6Ckk from the official servise centre. They installed Linpus on it. I was trying to install Linux (Mate, Ubuntu, oldest and newest versions (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne)) and Windows XP, making bootable USB-stick with Unebootin. But in all cases download just doesn't start: black screen with cursor appears. What am I doing wrong?

The first question that comes to mind is... have you ever done this before?

Did you go into the BIOS (tap F2 - i think) AS SOON AS, the first white writing appears on screen...
and set the netbook to boot from the Pendrive (USB stick)

You need to put the Pendrive into a USB slot BEFORE starting the netbook so it will be registered in BIOS and available for use.

Hope these tips solve your problem
