    Hello, everyone.
I couldn't find the information I need, so I turned to you for answers.
I have a netbook Acer Aspire One 532h-2427 (model NAV50).
There is an empty connector behind HD cover (opposite to wireless card).
Is this port mSATA or mini PCI? This port has 8 and 18 pins. The distance from the connector to the corresponding screw hole is 1.75 inches.
See the area in question marked by a red arrow.
Will this port support SSD card (to replace regular hard drive for OS)?

It looks like a mini PCI, but given the year that computer was made i seriously doubt it. The only problem is, the pin set up doesn't seem to fit any SATA connection that I know of.

So I could be wrong, but I'm going to call it a PCI connection. As far as the SSD card question I honestly don't know, I apologize.

Yes, I know that the pins quantity is "correct". The reason I asked is that I read somewhere a warning that miniPCIe and msata look the same, but wired differently.
Additionally, the "manual" (and repair manual) of this netbook doesn't even mention or label this slot and, off course, tech support is no longer available, unless I purchase their "out-of-warranty" support.

I'm guessing you don't have a mini PCI cable to test it with?

NO, I don't such a cable, and I don't know if it's possible to "scan" all available port to identify this one (using Terminal (Linux OS).

Try taking it to a local PC shop. (not something like staples or best buy as they will just try to sell you something) Local shops are usually pretty good about helping you figure out little odd problems such as this one.
