Acer Aspire One 521 won't start up

    My acer aspire one 521 netbook turns on and I can see windows 7 booting up however when it gets to this screen on the start up process it just goes black, the screen is still lit up however I cannot see anything on my netbook, just wondering if it's something I can fix myself... Thanks

    Press F2 during startup and try Safe Mode

    How do I this as I cant see it in setup :/

    Try booting from a Linux live cd/usb and see if that loads and displays a desktop. Could be a graphics driver problem as you see a Windows splash screen at start up. pm4hire suggestion may require that you have a install/recovery disc that when you boot it will give the option to start in "safe mode" perhaps. :)
