HY.I`ve bought an AAO D250 from a friend of mine. The problem is next:Every time i turn it on when it plays the start music is skip or lags. This happens even if i play music in winamp or windows media player.I used different players and all have the same problem.I read on internet about a file resetdma.vbs...I used that file but no effect.I read about DMA and PIO.My secondary IDE is set to DMA but the primary one even if i toggle to "DMA if available" still the transfer mode is PIO.I don`t know what to do.I have Win Xp PRO with all the drivers updated.
    What else can i do.
Any last chance for me is to install Win 7?
    Thank you.

Doesn't sound like a software problem to me instead it sounds like the sound chip may be messed up.

You could download a different OS like Linux Mint 32-bit Standard Version and run it as a Live CD. If the sound is messed up in the same way then you would know that it was not the software on your drive but the hardware as that would be the only common connection. I have an AAO 110 ZG5, AAO D150-1920 and an AAO D250-1610 and Linux Mint Live CD runs fine on all of them.

A lot of people have written that they would like to do that but don't know how. So if you could explain how you did this it could help several others.
