Hello, I just received my Acer One 722-BZ454 today that includes an ATI Radeon™ HD 6250 graphics card. As I always do when I purchase a new computer I load Windows 7 onto a memory stick and completely format the PC to get rid of all the crapware... I then downloaded all of the drivers from Acer's website and installed everything -- but I am unable to get the ATI driver to run. It just says "Standard VGA Graphics Driver", I've tried to force the driver in device manager and Googled this problem all day and tried the few solutions I've found. Nothing works so far.

I installed a copy of Ubuntu and had no trouble getting the driver to work, yet I'm stuck on Windows 7... any help?

    Hello,
You made a mistake not to make make a copy of the image of your netbook before you scraped it.You always should be prepare in case of failure. The VGA is the chipset driver, you need to go to ATI website and download the catalist.

    You have 2 choices:
Use this tool to download the correct driver:
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/auto/amddri ... loader.exe

    or download the drivers directly:
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/cata ... t_util.exe
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/11-8 ... 64_ccc.exe
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/11-8 ... vision.exe

    Hope i was helpfull.
    Good luck.

I'm having this exact same problem.

The automatic tool just throws out an error message "We are unable to find you product or OS". None of the manual drivers install the driver for the graphics card. It just stays as the "Standard VGA Graphics Driver".

Has anyone figured out a fix for this!?

BTW I posted my own thread here before I saw this one.

Figured it out. For anyone one that is having a similar problem:

Some of these acers ship with C60 cpu instead of C50. The driver hasn't been released for the C60 yet but you can grab it from your recovery partition.

Someone posted it at slickdeals.net. Link here.
