I cannot find the correct ac adapter for the Clevo N240JU.

    It is 19v 2.1a 40w.

The adapter is Chicony A13-040N3A A040R074L

It is the same as a Sager NP3240.

The problem is the pin - I can't find the correct size.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    it is

with interchangeable connectors to fit 'any' Laptop... see photos on the website...

Hoping this was what you need,

    Brian

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried those, and they would work if they had the right tips. That's where the problem is.

I can't get the tip size from the lappy mfg. If I could, then it would be much easier.

The power requirements aren't the problem, just that tip.

    Thanks!

Checking Clevo and Clevo 'compatible' Adaptors on both Amazon and Google, (which you probably did too) I found that they were all designated as having o/d 5.5mm i/d 2.5mm connector.
    BUT... Clevo Laptop Jack.jpg
    I did find one showing the connector as o/d 5.5mm i/d 1.7mm
    is this the problem?
Have you got the original PSU to check the dimensions?

IPC Computers have a Clevo 120W PSU for the N240 LU with right angled 5.5 x 2.5mm connector (they say) for 56 Euros...

    https://www.ipc-computer.eu/notebook-spareparts/clevo/n-serie/240lu/adapter

IPC show 3 models of the N240 while a different Company shows 5 models
    some have 40W PSU's others 90W PSU's...

Yes, I've seen them also. I've tried the 5.5. But, the barrel is too large. Not sure about the center pin.

I really don't want to spend $60 from the manufacturer.

I even emailed Chicony, but no response. I guess the reasoning is to buy from the lappy mfg only - helps their profits.

THANK YOU Danielle. This looks right ! The M4 tip says it is 4.8*1.7mm and that is just about exactly what I measured my adapter's pin as. (Power is V/A:18.SV, 3.SA, 4.9A;) Unfortunately, I already paid the $65 off the Sager website, after trying a couple other universal adapters unsuccessfully. But I had not tried this ZOZO brand. I will order this asap - keep as a spare for future or maybe I can still return the $65 one. (The Velocity is a Clevo/Sager under the covers I gather?) I really appreciate you posting your findings.
