    Hi,

I got an Acer Aspire One D260 second hand (N450 version), and have a question regarding gaming performance.

I'm not sure if this is how the system would perform out-of-the-box, or if it is a result of the previous user's tinkering, so I thought I'd check here to make sure I'm not expecting too much.

It seems incapable of running Deus Ex or Half life even on the very very lowest detail settings. However, software rendering seems to yield almost playable FPS. This doesn't seem right to me... surely using the graphics hardware should speed things up. Or am I missing something?

I think I have the latest drivers for the graphics card already installed (at least, if I download from the Intel site, it says "You already have newer drivers installed").

Is something wrong with it, or is this how it performs? I understand it's not exactly a gaming device, it would've just been a bonus on boring plane journeys.

    Thanks...

btw, I'm running Windows 7 Starter Edition.
Also, I notice in GPU-Z, it shows my GPU utilisation never goes above 27% when running Deus Ex for example. It seems like it's not even being used fully?
