AAO and Windows media player 11

    I finally installed Windows Media Player 11 on my Acer Aspire One 10.1" netbook (2GB Ram / 160GB HD).
    However, when I open the MediaPlayer 11, it always states "contacting online store" and then an online store opens.
    How can I get rid of this? I would just like to Media Player 11 to open in the Media Player screen.
    Is that possible?
    Please advise and thank you.
