    Hi,

    I have the AAO with the build in Qualcomm 3G HSDPA Modem.
    After re-install of WinXP Home I downloaded the 3G driver and Acer Connection Manager from the acer europe FTP.
    Of course I installed both.
    The modem appears in "Device Manager" as COM3 but the Conection Manager will give following error on startup:

    A default profile could not be created because your Mobile Broadband (WWAN) device was not found.
    Please ensure that the device is powered on and restart this application.

    I already powered on and off several times (confirmed by 3G LED going on and off and by showing on the Device Manager) but the software wont start.

    Unfortunatly PQSERVICE partition is long gone so system restore is not possible.

    Thanks for any reply.....

    Anyone resolved this issue of;

    "A default profile could not be created because your Mobile Broadband (WWAN) device was not found.
    Please ensure that the device is powered on and restart this application."

    If you believe or not I forgot to check inside the box. It came with the AAO. :oops: Since I never check the manuals I did not even see there was a CD inside. Big mistake, won't happen again. Next time I will check all OEM stuff before spending three nights up looking for drivers on the net. :lol:
