WinXP SP3, Seagate 500gb HD, 1.5GB ram. Installed hardware upgrades Christmas day. Recently removed Ubuntu NBR. Other than that can't think of what I have done to the machine itself.

Earlier today my screen began to turn off for about 1 minute, every 4 minutes or so. The machine does not reboot, the screen goes black, then turns back on for 4 minutes. Repeat....

    Ideas?

    Well,

I think this occurred from removing a secondary monitor prior to shutting down. That is, I pulled out the vga cable without switching back to the internal monitor. I connected my netbook to an external monitor today, switched out of external monitor view back to the netbook screen, and it appears to be working correctly again.
