    I recently bought a 2nd hand Aspire One 522.

I thought i'd done my research, but it turns out, the 522 that Acer released in the UK is a crappy model that only has a 3 cell not 6 cell battery, and comes with a 1024x600 and not a 1280x720 screen.

I was wondering whether it is possible to replace the screen with a unit from the proper 522 model, to enjoy 1280x720 goodness?

If the chassis is the same as the 1280x720 model then you could get a 1280x720 screen or a 1366x768 screen but you have to get them directly from the chinese company's website and you have to pay the overseas shipping. I would love to get the 1366 but having to get it from them directly would be a risk in my opinion.. They around US$95+/- the last time I checked. I am 100% certain that it would even work. But the dimensions of the two screens are identical.

I would have to do the research all over again to find their website though. Just letting you know it is possible to change out the screen.

Hi c-m, I look at the service guide for your Acer AO522 and to replace your screen (1024x600) with the 1280x720 the part number you need to look at is LK.10105.003.
I have another number B101EW02 V0 LF, from the service guide those numbers will replace the one you have.
