    Thanks to everyone who posted relating to connecting a a150 and Nokia mobiles.

    Think this is it, please excuse me as I am a Linux novice and lovin it!

    Open terminal ALT + F2
    su
    (password)
    sudo yum install gnome-ppp
    when this is done
    mousepad /etc/wvdial.conf
    clear it and paste this

    [Dialer defaults]
    Phone = *99#
    Username = three
    Password = three
    Stupid Mode = 1
    Dial Command = ATDT

    [Dialer three]
    Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
    Baud =466600
    Init2 = ATZ
    Init3 = ATE0 V1 &D2 &C1 S0=0 +IFC=2,2
    ISDN = 0
    Modem Type = Analog Modem
    Init5 = AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","three.co.uk"

    Save it

    Launch gnome-ppp (from start menu or by entering gnome-ppp at terminal prompt)

    Hit Setup

    Hit Init Strings

    Networking Tab

    Options Tab

    Reboot the Netbook
    Ensure no applications are accessing the internet on the E71 by holding down the red key.
    Connect the E71 via the USB lead, select Nokia PC suite on the mobile screen, launch Gnome-ppp and hit connect.

    That's how I did it anyway!

    Good luck
    Steven

    No problem! We have 3.5G on Three in some places in Northern Ireland now, it is even better! I now need a way of monitoring data usage on the Aspire

    This worked perfect for me thank you very much. I used the info for the dual boot Ubuntu 8.10 (using the network connection manager) as well as Linpus on my One.
    I have a Nokia n95 so it works well with all the family :p
