A letter from Acer with a new USB Recovery Stick

Hi,

today I received an letter from Acer. They sent me an 2GB USB Recovery Stick which contains an "enhanced Version of the Aspire one Software, which wasn't available when the Netbook was produced". (I hope I translated this correct... Im from germany.)

I just wanted to ask if someone else got this stick. I think I do not install this version on my AAO because I already customized my system and Im very happy with it. But im wondering why they sent me this stick because of two reasons:
1) why sent a new stick, they can do everything via online-update
2) where did Acer get my address from... I havent registered my AAO there (but this I have to ask my local dealer).

Call Acer Germany and ask, if it's not specified in the letter, how they got your adress and why they sent it.

Take a photo of the letter and USB-stick and post it here if possible.
 
How can I contact Acer in order to request them the USB Recovery Stick?
I registered the product but I didn't received the usb stick.

Is it only a 'promo' made by Acer Germany support?

its germany only, because they fucked up some translations.
but as far as I know thats all what is different, so what the hack ...
anyway, I like it. I dont have an external DVD drive, so I would have not been able to recover the system easily.
with the usb stick I can.
 
I received a stick, too. My system was screwed up after the last online update: Ethernet did not work anymore, either wireless nor connected. After recovery with the system on the stick I have a running system again and also the online updates did not crash my Ethernet. I am not sure if it was only a translation issue, maybe are more changes on that stick .
Anyway, I am happy my "one" is working again.

So far I actually can't register the mine in their page...
