I've seen a photo of 6600mah version of this battery and I have purchased one. I believe the exterior design is worse than the cameron sino one and it stick out A LOT, so I am worried about its stablity.

Confirm with your seller if it's manufactured by shenzhen Cebit.Co, they use control circuits from TI and cell from Sanyo, LG and another Japanese company so it's pretty legit (even the factory battery uses Chinese cells, I think)

    have you received yours yet?

it does appear that they have some other good items for sale, mostly battery related. I'll send them an email about the manufacturer.

    thanks

I have not recieved mine, and I am pretty bummed out. for a person who's seeking the highest capacity battery, a higher capacity one with the same size came out when the item I bought is still in transit is always a bit disappointing.

When I get mine, I am going to post a review thread. I notice that there is no pics available for that particular battery and all the battery here are Cameron Sino's (which looks different)

if you referring to the 6600 versus the 7200 it's possible that they are the same. I've read that depending upon the testing equipment it seems that specs vary..... we might get the same one.

did you see the photos here, I'm guessing this is it:

    http://www.amazon.com/Aspire-One-9-cell ... 09&sr=8-10

6600 or 7200 it will be plenty of battery time.

the other design also has a fairly big footprint too:

actually, I believe the 6600mah version uses 2200mah cell, and the 7200mah version uses the 2400mah cell, where as the acer 6 cell 5200mah uses the 2600mah cell as well.

    basically, 3x3.7V makes 11.1V, and 3x2200 makes 6600mah, 3x3 = 9 cells.

one interesting thing is though, lower capacity cells usually last longer than higher capacity cells.

    thanks for the info!

I guess there won't be any way to find out what's inside without me cracking it open?

on a funnier note when I searched for 2400mAh batteries I found the worst brand name, I don't think I want to put these into anything!

nope, you won't be, unfortunately. the current highest indivdual cell rating is 2600mah, I believe.

another thing is that NOBODY on the web have an actual, clear photo of this type of 9 cell (the one we are getting) attached to the one. there is a photo on manufacturer's website (google for cebit.co and alibaba), unfortunately almost all the photos of this particular battery seem to attempt to hide its true scale from an awkward angle.

I tried hunting around the manufacturers site too without any luck. How long ago did you order yours? and where did you order it from?

this photo does show that it drops below the One less than the closed dimension so probably 1in/25mm

I think that the tradeoff of the battery life will be worth it...... I hope.

I got it on Nov 5, and I was enough of an idiot to sell my 3 Cell before I bought it, so my one now does not have a battery at all!

I probably had about 20 plane trips in the last few month and will have many more coming up, so battery life is paramount for me.

what I am worried about though, is the sturdiness of the whole assembly. It seems that if there is a twisting force applied on that 9 cell, I wonder if the latch will hold.

The latch will hold. I'm using now 9cell 6600mAh battery and is fine. Battery matches AA1 body perfectly and everything is tied very well. I was only wondering about extra time given by this battery comparing to 6600mAh. Is it worth buying this "beast"...

    >20 plane trips in the last few month

you have much more patience than I do.

I agree that the 6 cell looks much more comfortable and when the real Acer batteries become available and the price drops I may get one. But since this whole contraption is replacing a 7 pound laptop I'm probably still ahead of the game.

    But in the meanwhile...........

From the pictures I have seen I would be concerned about the battery casing holding up since it becomes the back legs and will have the weight of someone's hands pushing down on it. It also seems to me that lifting the case like it does could mean that the chassis of the One will be getting more stress.

note the 6600mah cameron sino part which most people are using are different from our parts. I have no doubt that cameron sino will hold, but our part seen to be a lot more awkward, refer to a photo in last page of this thread.

It'd be nice if they used three groups of 2600mAh cells, that'll give about 7800mAh of power! You'd think it makes business sense to use fewer types of battery cells since it simplifies the supply chain. But I guess these OEMs all have different suppliers.

power density and usage life can't be compromised. so the higher density cells actually have a shorter lifespan.

I did receive an note back from the vendor, I tried to look up the manufacturer but no luck. But the name is in Chinese and this board won't allow me to the Chinese characters.

The more that I look at the design I can't see that it would place anymore stress on the case or latch than the other design. Currently the case rests on 4 feet and isn't supported in the middle so it shouldn't have anymore impact than the stock design. I still have my hopes up....

can you pm me the characters? I can read Chinese. Ask him for the part number. I THINK it's manufactured by Cebit.co in shenzhen.

so feeble sent me the message and I have performed a search using the four Chinese character company name his shipper provided (which is pretty shady, why would you give a Chinese company name to an American?)

    nothing turned up

so I did another search, with the characters and the Chinese word "battery". I did found something

    http://szbdw.cn.alibaba.com/

but it's Chinese name is different from the one I was given by feeble. this company, named "bodewin", does supply aspire one battery, but only the 3 cell and 6 cell variant, not the premium 9 cell.

Keep us updated with the perfermence of your piece, it doesn't seen very legit at this point, however.
