8 Core CPU Recommendations (VMware Stable)

My Acer quad core laptop just burnt up and faded away. Most of the parts are outdated and it's time to get a new one. I'm looking to get a 8 core cpu processor with adequate ram. At least 16 GB of RAM. I'm a firm believer that each core needs at least 2 GB of RAM. I do run VMware on my laptops and this next laptop will be running at least 8 instances (Windows 7 OS) on them. Lets just say, by running this configuration I can make about to usd a day. So guys, any recommendations?

Lets just say, by running this configuration I can make about $2 to $4 usd a day. So guys, any recommendations?
