7 GB file onto 4.7 GB DVD

    hi guys,
    i copied a dvd to my pc, the file it gave me is 7GB, the blank dvd-r that i have is 4.7 GB,
    how do i get 7GB video file onto a 4.7GB blank dvd ????

    You need to purchase a dual layer dvd 8.5 gb
